Within the chapters of five and six, Katniss and Peeta are introduced to their prep and design teams whom are responsible for making them beautiful and unforgettable at the; opening ceremonies, the interviews and of course the start of the games. Katniss doesn’t enjoy being plucked clean by her prep team but her spirit lightens when she meets her designer, Cinna. Katniss is impressed with how normal and attractive he looks, he doesn’t remind her of Capitol people, and he even tells her how he asked specifically for district twelve. Cinna is a very down to earth person and understands how Katniss feels about the Capitol and the Games.
It comes time for the opening ceremonies- an opportunity for the tributes to make a splashing first impression for all of Panem to see, a chance to catch the eye of possible sponsors. Katniss and Peeta’s designers have done just that- they make them unforgettable. The pair is in outfits set on fire and the cameras are quite literally glued to them. They truly make a lasting first impression on the Capitol.
After the ceremonies Katniss and Peeta are joined by their entire team for an extravagant dinner to celebrate how well the ceremony went.

From chapters five through to the end of six, the novel, The Hunger Games, could almost be classified as fantasy. Fantasy in the sense that Katniss experiences new “magical” things she isn’t used to back home. She meets her design team; her designer Cinna and his three assistants, Venia, Flavius and Octavia. They put Katniss through painful procedures to beautify her. This is like experiencing luxuries of a new world Katniss is not familiar with. Another thing the main characters are treated to is an abundance of delicious food. At every meal there are tables full of fresh, steaming hot food, meals Katniss could only dream of having back home. The Capitol food alone is fulfilling a fantasy for Katniss.
